Feminine and minimal, Freshie & Zero’s hammered jewelry is dainty and subtle with a strong style statement. This handmade jewelry line takes simple, clean lines and finds creative ways to interlock shapes, mix metals, and dangle at angles that are surprising, modern, and oh-so-chic. A perfect gift for everyone from your sweet-16 to your mother-in-law, Freshie & Zero makes bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and more for any jewelry-lover.
For founder and jewelry-artist Beth Lawrence, making jewelry was a way of returning to her roots. Beth graduated from Belmont with a degree in studio art and no clue how to apply it— that is, until she remembered jewelry. As an entrepreneurial kiddo, Beth spent childhood summers making plastic jewelry to sell in her neighborhood out of her Caboodle-turned-salescase. As an adult, Beth remained enamored with handmade jewelry but felt turned off by its price tags. In response, Beth set out to make beautiful, luxury handcrafted jewelry that people like herself and her friends could afford.
By the time Beth picked up the hammer and cranked out her first piece of jewelry in 2006, she knew she’d found her perfect medium. Today, Beth is still following her passion and has an entire team hammering and wire-wrapping with her. Instead of traveling door-to-door with a Caboodle, she travels to craft fairs and trade shows all over the country, earning a national reputation for her unique style.
Freshie & Zero— named for Beth’s nickname “Freshie” and her sweet Jack Russell Terrier “Zero”— operates out of a hip studio in downtown Nashville, TN. There, you can find Beth and her associates crafting delicate hoops, charms, and chains while they listen to true crime podcasts.
Freshie & Zero’s best sellers range from accessorizing essentials to meaningful statement pieces. The brand’s go-to hoop earrings—available in silver, gold, or rose gold— are a fan favorite. The signature Cartwheel Necklace also flies off the shelves; made of three dainty, interlocking circles, buyers have told Beth that the circles represent their siblings, their children, or their beloved family of three. That’s part of what makes Freshie & Zero so special. These pieces are so elegant and simple, you can create your own meaning and make each piece truly your own.
