Nashville Jam Company

If you live near Music City, you probably have a favorite Nashville Jam Company flavor. These sweet and spicy spreads have become a sensation over the last decade, gracing Nashville’s hottest menus and appearing on market shelves from New York to Texas. True to its farmer’s market roots, NJC’s products are still all-natural, locally sourced, and made with just a handful of ingredients, the way your Granny would have done it.

These might not be your grandma’s flavors, though. With unexpected blends like Strawberry Jalapeno and Sweet Onion Garlic, Nashville Jam Company’s concoctions aren’t just for dressing up biscuits (though biscuit dressing is encouraged). They’re meant to be savored and experienced beyond the breakfast table as a fresh pop to sandwiches, a flavorful pairing with cheeses and charcuterie, or blended into a knockout vinaigrette.

The company’s story is as sweet as the product in its jars. This Nashville hit started as a solution to a common Southern problem: too many tomatoes. When Gary and Courtney Baron’s garden over-produced heirloom tomatoes, the couple started canning fresh salsa and giving it to friends and family. Not only did the gifts earn rave reviews; people started asking to buy their creations. The Barons soon found themselves moonlighting as salsa makers, canning after work and taking their mason jars to the Murfreesboro Farmers Market. They sold out early every Saturday and made more than a few bucks at the market; they also made friends with their booth neighbors. Soon, they started incorporating other local vendors’ fresh strawberries, peaches, and blackberries into their repertoire, creating the now infamous jams.

Nashville Jam Company still sources ingredients locally, insisting only pesticide-free, Tennessee-grown produce and buying only from organic farms. Not only are they supporting local growers and shortening the farm-to-table trip, they’re also getting—and giving—the best of the best. Tennessee produce is special because the makeup of our soil makes it taste better. That’s a fact, and the proof is in every Nashville Jam Company jar.

Made in TN is proud to offer a variety of Nashville Jam Company products, from Jalapeno Honey Mustard and 6-Pepper Jelly to sweet samplers and fruity classics. Find your favorite here.
