Root & Branch is inspired by Mother Nature, and operates with her in mind. Every product is manufactured in the United States using, whenever possible, sustainable materials and practices. Their paper mill runs on hydropower and their press is powered by solar panels; in early 2021, Root & Branch eliminated all plastic from their packaging. When you enjoy your beautiful designs from Root & Branch, your appreciation for nature is also doing right by nature.
Artist Jessie Tyree Jenness started Root & Branch in 2018 with the dream of making a living as a working artist. Born and raised in East Tennessee, Jessie finds herself drawn to the beauty of the great outdoors. Despite using high-tech, eco-friendly printing and production processes, each design starts out as “a good old-fashioned drawing on pen and paper.” Her designs are big favorites at local Knoxville shops in the Old City Market, a beloved Knoxville hot spot for artists and makers.
