Walker Feed Co. mixes began when restaurant veteran Kristin Walker became obsessed with setting up Bloody Mary Bars when her friends would gather. She paid close attention as friends poured pre-made mixes and proceeded to doctor their drinks to perfection. The experience posed the question “Why can’t mixers be good straight out of the bottle?” Each gathering gave Kristen more information about which mixes and spices people loved; she soon began experimenting in her kitchen to create the perfect Bloody Mary Mix. She struck gold with a secret blend of spices, bourbon barrel-aged Worcestershire sauce, blackstrap molasses, creole mustard.

Kristen and her husband Cody started sharing the mix with friends, even passing it around to strangers at Steeplechase to taste test. You already know the rest of the story: people loved it, asked for it, offered to buy it and encouraged Kristen and Cody to bottle the magic and share it with the world.

Since officially opening in 2013, Walker Feed Company has expanded its repertoire to include Sangria, Margarita, and Whiskey Sour mixes, with loyal customers anxiously awaiting new concoctions. Even as the business grows, Kristen’s legendary original Bloody Mary mix still steals the spotlight, bursting with local tomatoes, regional flavors, and just the right amount of heat.
